1978 Cadillac Seville. Seems to be in decent shape.
Priced at $3350. Original paint.

What currency?

Needs more diesel.

It says $3350 so obviously it’s rubles. :P

Oh yes, they were decent cars. One of the last new product launches Cadillac got right for quite some time. Tasteful styling, good build quality, traditional smooth Cadillac ride, but in a smaller, more maneuverable package.
Shared a platform with the Nova, but they did a very good job disguising that. This was true platform sharing, not the horrendous badge engineering GM would shortly become well known for.

Cheers. I might pitch it to my dad. :D

You know, I’ve always really wanted to like the bustleback. I came close to buying an ‘85 once. I like the style, like the ride, but FWD, plus they just never had a good engine. Take your pick - Olds diesel, HT4100, or V-8-6-4.
Allegedly, some of them had Buick’s Fireball V6, but I’ve never seen one.

Like ranwhenparked said. Very good cars. Fuel injected Oldsmobile 350 and bulletproof driveline. It was the most expensive Cadillac in it’s day despite being the smallest at the time.
Ate Up With Motor has a good history on it here .

Cheers! I like how you guys keep saying this is small, despite the fact that it’s about the size of my dad’s Nissan Navara.

I’ve always disliked the looks of these, but that’s a way nice price and they’re plenty reliable.

It looks like a fire extinguisher was discharged in the engine compartment. $3350 sounds pretty cracky.

Ha! Yeah, it was only small in comparison to the rest of the domestic cars of the time.

The Buick 4.1 V6 was available, but only as a delete option. Turns out it was the best option you could get in ‘81.

Aren’t all cars better when they are slower, nosier, and usually not working?
![]() 04/08/2016 at 21:22 |

Yeah, it looks like a household ABC extinguisher, too.
Pass.

Isn’t this the car with back windows that don’t roll down?

I don’t know. Is it?

Nah, I just Snopes’d myself and I was wrong. Ignore the drunk in the corner.

Good car. Too small though.

Yes, yes they are.

I just don't see any value in that car.

Not sure about that just from the pictures. Get a PPI and know what you are buying. No problems - NP if the look of this old Caddy is your thing. If you like it run it. Don’t be shamed out of it by others with different tastes.

Agreed. Thing is, I learned to drive on a ‘77 Caprice Classic. I’ve always romantically thought I’d like to fix one of those up with an LS swap or something. I finally found one on Craigslist that was in pretty good shape a month or two ago and it scared the liver out of me. I’d appreciate that Seville as much as anyone would, and it’s just kind of scary.

Only thing I see is an Antwerp build. That’s it.
